Next Thursday, our new expo, Otherworldly Artefacts, opens at Wilderlicht (Vijverhofstraat 124, Rotterdam). The vernissage takes place on Thursday, December 11, from 5 PM to 10 PM. We’ll be showing sculptural objects by Maarten Diederix and photography by Mathijs Labadie and Casper Rila.
For this project, Casper Rila and I teamed up with Maarten, who gave us complete freedom to translate his creations into images. Captivated by the otherworldly shapes of his objects, we began to see them as relics from an unknown past — unearthed fragments that seem to whisper of distant worlds.
Searching for a landscape that could hold such quiet mysteries, we ventured into the dunes, where wind, sand, and silence became the backdrop for these imagined excavations.
